First National Bank is also very proud to be locally owned and operated, which allows us to give personalized and prompt service to our customers.
First National Bank survived many generations, including good times, bad times, the depression era, a near hold-up by Bonnie & Clyde, and lastly, the bank acquisition trend that has swept across Louisiana.
For over 100 years First National Bank has maintained steady growth and an enduring presence in this region. Past presidents providing leadership for First National Bank were L. M. Tooke, W. M. Deas, James Madden, Bentley Gantt, Larry Jordan, Homer Woodard, Herschel Kyle, Gary Brannon and currently Brian Woodard.
During the past seven years First National Bank has expanded its offices to include locations in Farmerville, West Monroe, and two offices in Ruston.
Traditionally a conservative banking institution, First National Bank has increased its assets from $122,000 in 1929 to over $150 million in 2007, and employs a staff of approximately 70 people at its combined locations.
The current Board of Directors is made up of community and business leaders that promote First National Bank’s long-standing tradition of making a lasting and meaningful contribution to the communities it serves.
